July 19th, 2008 by The Editor, EF24/7

Kaka has revealed his interest in joining Chelsea Football Club this summer in accordance with his advisor. Reports on Saturday morning claimed that the Brazilian Superstar was being discussed about in a meeting which included the BPL club and Milan, with a view to a possible £80m transfer.

Kaka’s advisor claims that the financial crisis running at Milan is quiet evident and this deal could only benefit them. He believes that the deal this time is definite and and ‘good’ for both the parties involved. He also claimed that Chelsea are a ‘building’ club who want to win evrything.

Also, this move can bring about a massive wage increase for Kaka, apart from the 10% transfer fee that all players receive anyways. This deal can actually favour both teams since having a talent like Kaka in a team is always useful and Milan are in need of the money. Any deal for Kaka, who is currently one of the best players in the world, could easily beat Zinedine Zidane’s £46m world record transfer fee.

Come this way for all your wonderful opinions, praises, rants, etc!

In response to the news, A.C Milan have published a statement on their official website declaring, “Kaká is absolutely not for sale.”

Wenger Frustated by Arsenal’s Financial Crisis

July 6th, 2008 by The Editor, EF24/7

The Arsenal manager believes that he would have to probably sell his ’star’ players for the next two decades!

AW is currently busy persuading Alex Hleb and Adebayor to not follow Flamini out of Arsenal. Adebayor has asked for a pay hike or else he would leave the club. Wenger believes Arsenal’s financial troubles have increased since Arsenal shifted to Emirates. AW is also angry at the financial powers players posses over the clubs. He told News of the World, “The strategy of the club is to sell every year and to buy less expensive players. We manage at Arsenal to maintain all our football ambitions - national and European - while having to free up, for 17 more years, an annual surplus of £24million (US$48 million) to pay for our stadium.”

He also mentioned, “If players are bad ones, they stay and, if they are good, they think only of leaving. I have fought for them to earn a very good living, but I impose respect for their contract upon them.”

We Believe that Arsene Wenger’s arguements completely justified. Arsenal’s Financial position has been worse that the top four since a long time now. Chelsea, Liverpool and United have heavily invested in the Transfer Market since the last 2-3 years, whereas Arsenal have just concentrated on building a squad full of youngsters and not utilizing their funds in buying players.

Also, Wenger pointed out the lack of respect shown by good players towards their contract. We can also see this in Ronaldo’s case! He has been trying to shift to Madrid despite of inking a 5-year-deal last year. Same way, Adebayor also wants to shift from Arsenal since he has become better than what he used to be!
